Like any good story, it began with a dream; a dream that one day I could pay my way in this world without the nuisance of attending a job - I knew, just wasn’t for me nor how I wanted to spend my life. I wanted to be creatively self-sufficient, something which I could share with others, find like minded people and spend my time working doing something I love and am passionate about.
So with that in mind, I expressed my “cryptic” idea with a colleague while drawing stickers for a scrapbook I was working on. And without notice he went to his desk and created the one and only Lazy REDhead YouTube channel!
Now at the beginning, I didn’t have the technical knowhow or even the confidence to do what you see today! So you can thank my colleague John for creating the YouTube account and my husband for pushing me to learn the dreaded task of filming and editing!
Side note: my husband did this by shutting me in a room for hours until I could provide an acceptable video! And I can not thank him enough.
So the “Lazy REDhead” was born - A failed artist trying to un-fail once again at becoming self-sustainable. Starting with no more than a sketchbook and pencil, I threw myself into the world of online creating in the hopes I’d find likeminded Creative Crazies - and I sure did! I not only created a community; I can honestly say my Art, Channel and Life would not be as “DELISH” if it were not for my “Die Hard” subscribers for turning up each week to give advice, leave encouraging comments and watch my content.
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING !
So, for my ONE YEAR OF UPLOAD - I decided to launch this website to celebrate and commemorate another step towards becoming a self-sustaining artist!
If you have not already - SUBSCRIBE to the Lazy REDhead channel to keep up to date with this wild ride.
